Dear Parents & Students,
I would like to take a few moments to explain our process for the administration of the 2025 ACT test offered by Madison Comprehensive High School on Wednesday, March 4th. Even though this test will only be offered at this time to third year or junior level students, the actual administration will impact all students within the high school.
Test Administration
The administration of the ACT test has very specific rules that must be followed. In order to stay in accordance with these rules, we will be testing in specific classrooms and not in a large space, such as the gymnasium. This is the same process we have used in past years.
Remote Learning Day for Grades 9, 10, & 12
Madison Comprehensive High School will be having a Remote Learning Day for all students in Grade 9, 10, and 12 on Wednesday, March 4th. Those students will have that day’s instruction and assignments communicated to them through Google Classroom/email. During remote learning, student attendance will be based off their engagement with their teacher. Further instructions will be given to the students as this date approaches. To be clear, those students (grades 9, 10, and 12) should not report to school on this day, but instead access their instructional materials and complete assignments from home.
3rd Year / Grade 11 Students Report for Testing
Junior level students should report to school at the normal time. Upon arrival they should go to their lockers and then report to their testing room. Testing room assignments will be posted throughout the school on the days leading to the test. Students should not bring anything to their testing room with the exception of a number two pencil and an ACT allowable calculator. Additional calculators will be provided as well. The ACT is scheduled to end at 11:45am. Special education students may be provided additional time, depending on their specific Individualized Education Plan.
Transportation Home
At the conclusion of the test, those students who have transportation may leave for the day. If a student does not have transportation home, they will be provided lunch and then be offered a study hall / academic assist for the remainder of the scheduled school day. Their school day will end at the normal time (2:25 pm). At that time students leave by their normal method of transportation.
MOA Students
There is no virtual option for the ACT test. Third year or junior level students in the Madison Online Academy are to report to the high school to take the ACT Test in-person on March 4th. Students should arrive between 7:30 am- 7:40 am. Room assignments for testing will be posted at the entrance ways of the high school.
Opt – Out Form
Madison students that choose to not take the ACT test must fill out the ACT Opt-Out form. This form must be signed by both parent and student.
Ram Pride
I want to personally wish all students preparing to take the ACT test the very best of luck. We are very proud of all of our students and wish them the absolute best. We encourage those students looking for additional help and resources to contact the MCHS Counseling Department.
Yours in Ram Pride,
Mr. Sean Conway
